The format

We run the show. You just show up.

Here's exactly what happens from booking to wrap-up, and why every detail is deliberate. The only thing on your plate: sourcing spirits from a curated list we send ahead of time, with a frictionless delivery option if you'd rather skip the store run.

The run of show below follows The Collective Cup, our flagship three-round format. The Session and The Collective run a shorter version of the same structure.

Before the event

Three steps. None of them complicated.

01

Book and confirm

Choose your package and date. You'll receive a confirmation within 48 hours with next steps to lock it in. A 50% deposit secures your date.

02

Receive the spirits list

10 days before your event, we send a curated shopping list for base spirits, along with a frictionless way to get them delivered if you'd rather not send someone to the store. We handle everything else.

03

We set up everything

The facilitator arrives 60 minutes early with all equipment, ingredients, scoring materials, and event signage. Your team walks into a ready room.

The stages

Five stages. One arc of escalating excitement.

The format is back-loaded by design. Makers work in teams of two, with up to two teams per station and up to three stations running side by side. Each round raises the stakes. By Round 3, anyone can win.

Live Demo

Facilitator only

The facilitator builds one cocktail from scratch in front of the room. Every tool, every decision, every technique narrated live. This becomes the reference point for Round 1. No one is scored. Everyone pays attention.

Round 140 min

The Classic

Replicate the 101

Makers replicate the 101 cocktail, focusing on the technique and tips observed in The 101 round. Judges score each cocktail using a criteria card covering balance, presentation, and technique. First scores go on the live leaderboard.

Round 240 min

The Build

Judges order, makers deliver

Judges order from a cheat sheet of cocktails and mocktails. Makers deliver to order, drawing on the technique and range built across the first round. Scores update live. Leaderboard positions shift.

Round 340 min

The Signature

Full creative freedom

Makers build completely from scratch, name the cocktail, and pitch it to their judges in 30 seconds. Anyone can win going in. The stakes are highest.

Awards

Ceremony for the two awards: Makers / Judges

Two awards are presented. The Collective Cup goes to the winning maker team. The Palate Award goes to the judge pair whose scores tracked closest to the panel consensus, rewarding accuracy over generosity.

The centerpiece

One board, the whole room watching.

Every score lands here first. Standings shift in real time as each round wraps, so the room feels every point, not just the final tally. It's the difference between an activity people sit through and a moment they're actually locked into.

Displayed in the room, updated round by round as scores come in.

The two tracks

Two tracks, side by side. One room. Everyone involved.

Every Craft Collective event runs on two tracks: makers build, judges score, both happening at once in the same room. The Collective Cup takes this furthest, running three full rounds with two separate awards on the line.

Makers track

Build. Score. Win.

Work in pairs to build cocktails round by round, judged on technique, presentation, and creativity. The team with the highest cumulative score wins.

Award
The Collective Cup
Trophy, engraved jigger, and a custom labelled bottle.
Judges track

Score. Calibrate. Win.

Work in pairs and score every cocktail together on the same criteria. The pair whose scores land closest to the panel consensus wins, rewarding accuracy over generosity.

Award
The Palate Award
Awarded to the judge pair with the lowest cumulative deviation from the panel. Exclusive to The Collective Cup.
